Harvest — Anna Karenina
Studio Release
Composed from four pages of Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy, Harvest reflects Levin’s return to the land — where labour becomes rhythm, and rhythm becomes clarity.
In the novel, the harvest offers Levin a reprieve from abstraction and social performance. Working alongside the peasants, he experiences a physical and spiritual grounding that reconnects him to something older and more elemental than debate or doctrine.
Letters cut from the page form a line I return to often as an artist:
“If you look for perfection you'll never be content.”
The work is hand-finished and stitched to black acid-free art paper, allowing sections of the composition to lift subtly from the surface.
