Description & Technique
I love an underdog. And surely Gollum is greatest. Warped by the Ring, but ultimately becoming one with it in the fires of Mount Doom. My favourite character. This is page 79 of JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit.
I have hand cut the image of Andy Serkis' portrayal of Gollum together with the Gollum's most iconic line: "What's it got in it's pocketses?"
The papercut is hand stitched tp the black background. This technique allows the artwork to be free from the background, providing life, depth and shadow.
